Gwadar International Airport is currently undergoing a massive transformation. While the existing airport handles limited domestic and a few international flights, it is being replaced by the New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA). This new project is a cornerstone of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and is designed to be a state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a major international gateway for the region. Once complete, it is expected to boost trade, tourism, and connectivity for the strategic port city of Gwadar.
